Inside GreenInCities: Rethinking Urban Spaces with Nature-Based Solutions
🌱 What will the cities of tomorrow look like? Can we create urban spaces that are greener, more inclusive, and better for all forms of life—human and non-human? Welcome to GreenInCities, an EU-funded project transforming urban spaces through participatory design, digital innovation, and nature-based solutions.
In this short documentary-style video, we introduce the project's mission, methodology, and its innovative pilot actions in cities like Barcelona and Cork. You'll hear from leading voices in urban design and policy, and discover how the project’s collaborative approach is reshaping the future of city living.
From co-creation to urban transformation: the first impacts of GreenInCities
🐝 Welcome to the Newt phase of GreenInCities! As the project crosses a major milestone from co-design into physical on-the-ground implementation, this video showcases how our pilots are deploying Nature-based Solutions. Featuring real-world action in Helsinki’s Longinoja Park (canopy corridors for the flying squirrel and brown trout) alongside our suite of cutting-edge digital tools (3D Digital Twins, Tree Simulations, Microclimate UTCI, and Mental Health models)
Let’s reimagine our cities— greener, more inclusive and climate-resilient.
